My talk needs your vote and comment to get into SXSW EDU!

SXSW EDU lets the public vote on their favorite ideas for SXSW EDU. This year I took a risk and gave a talk on “Why it’s important to co-create with children.” I haven’t got any votes yet and I need your help. Below are the steps for giving me a vote. If you have 5 minutes, please do so!

Step 1: Create a SXSW profile here:

id.sxsw.com/sign_up

Step 2: Go to this page:

panelpicker.sxsw.com/vote/142011

Step 3: Click the Up vote in the top right corner.

Step 4: Leave a comment (The reviewers will read all the comments religiously, so this is important). Below I’ve listed a bunch of comments you could give!

Step 5: Go to this webpage

panelpicker.sxsw.com/vote/142280

and do the same thing (upvote and leave a comment).

Thank you so much, I literally couldn’t do this without you!

Finally someone who wants to tell us how to do make better products.

I’ve been arguing that we should be testing with kids with my company, and I can’t get them to listen. I’d love to hear how Elliott does it.

I’ve heard Elliott talk, he’s quite engaging and funny and entertaining to boot.

I heard Elliott speak at MIT, he was great.

I’d love to explore more why companies aren’t co-creating.

What role do you think teachers can play in this process too? I’m so sick of companies designing for us “teachers” without including us.

I like the take on co-creation. We throw around Human Center Design all the time, but it feels more like lip service than actually co-creating.

This is what the future of design should look like!

I haven’t seen a talk like this at SXSW - we need more talks helping companies design better products!
